Buttery
Buttery is a user-friendly mobile app designed for a local bakery in a big city. The app enables customers to order and pre-order bakery items for pickup or delivery.
Overview
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many small businesses struggled to stay afloat, and buying basic groceries became difficult due to panic buying.
While it was still possible to order food and groceries for delivery, there were limited options for bakery goods.
Recognizing this gap in the market, I decided to help a local bakery business during this challenging time.

What I accomplished
1. Designed a comprehensive user experience, from concept to final product.
2. Received an average usability testing score of 90% positive results for the initial designs.
3. Designed the end-to-end user interaction flow, from onboarding to daily usage.

What were the problems?
There aren't many bakery delivery systems available, despite the abundance of food ordering systems. This has raised the question of why bakery delivery is not as prevalent, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I aim to connect small local bakeries with customers through a delivery app that can help both parties during these challenging times.

Google Surveys with 18 participants
Survey takeaways
83.3% of participants encountered issues related to out-of-stock items.
66.7% of participants wanted to know the dietary options before their purchase.
83.3% of participants bought bakery goods weekly.

User interview
During these interviews, I asked open-ended questions to learn as much as possible about their experiences and identify the users' true needs.
My research aimed to:

1. Understand people's experiences when purchasing bakery items.
2. Discover the goals, needs, motivations, and frustrations of buying baked goods.
3. Identify users' consumption patterns.
